My Project

First grade is an important year to build their reading skills and comprehension. Some of my students are looking for more challenging books than the books offered in my classroom. They have started a book study on a couple chapter books and have loved the challenge and stories offered by these types of books. Having chapter books allows them the challenge of advancing their skills with more complex text length. Magic Tree house appeals to students in these grades and is a great beginner chapter book series as well as the Ramona books.
