Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to school with almost nothing. I teach English Language Learners in a large high school in a wealthy area. My students, however, struggle to get by and make it. They often don't have enough money for their daily needs, let alone school supplies.

Help give my students headphones, markers, snacks, and other basic supplies to start the year off strong.

We are a one-to-one school, with access to Chromebooks in class. I needed a classroom set of headphones for audiovisual activities so that students can work individually.

Students often don't have a chance to eat in the morning or they get hungry during the school day. I added some snacks so that students will have the energy to complete their work!

I also asked for basic supplies for the class. Often, students don't have access to funds from their family for school supplies, so this will be a welcome surprise for them!
