Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 2021-2022 year will be back in school full time! For most of my students, this will be their first year of school, so my job is to make it the best. Seventy-five percent of the students at my school qualify for free lunch. Every student also qualifies for free breakfast every day. My school is full of great students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration. We work together to make sure each child is getting the best education they can! We all become family!

My Project

We are creating a calming corner in our classroom, where kids can go and take a break. Having a beanbag chair in the corner, will give them a relaxing place to sit and take a breather. There will be different calming toys, books, and drawing for them to do in the corner.

I have 26 kids in my class all social distanced, wow!

That means I need to hit up higher for all to see me. Having a tall teacher stool will provide all my students the ability to see me, while sitting comfortably. Instead of reading on a rocking chair, I can be reading on a high stool for all to see the book!
