My Students

My students are special because even though our school sits in one of the lowest economic and crime-ridden areas in the country, they do not allow that to hold them back.

They persevere and do not allow where they come from dictate where they are going!

For many of them, they have great PRIDE in representing our school and community against other schools who might have more than we do. They do not allow this to be an excuse but a driving force to their success!

My Project

Over 50 students have expressed interest in playing baseball. However the school cannot afford to buy the uniforms and equipment that go into starting a baseball team. These students are the perfect example of the word student-athletes as they perform above average in the classroom and are very athletic on the field. The items chosen will allow them to show their athletic ability to the world. It will also give these students a chance to play a sport that will keep them off the streets and into something constructive. As a school we would like to offer things the students like and enjoy but the cost is an issue. With help from this project cost will not be an issue.
