My Students

Through our Robotics program, we strive to encourage our students into careers in the ever-increasing realm of engineering. We firmly believe our school will become a beacon of innovation and a haven for students who wish to expand their experiences in all areas of engineering.

Our students are hard-working, driven young men from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities.

Our school's mission is to provide advanced academics and extra-curricular activities in a historically under-serviced neighborhood, ensuring that every young man with a dream has the opportunity to achieve it.

My Project

These materials will allow our students to build robots that are competitive against teams with greater resources than we can ever achieve alone. Our school has three teams that compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge, an international robotics competition challenging students to develop robots to accomplish several tasks. Our students have amazing ideas that they would love to implement when making their robots, and are only lacking the materials to make their ideas a reality.

To ensure a level playing field in a competitive environment, your contribution can help support and complement the drive our students have to prove themselves in the world of robotics, engineering, and programming.

As we strive to cultivate our students' passion for engineering, we look for support from donors who share in our desire to see these wonderful students succeed.

The items requested in this grant can be divided into two purposes. With the TETRIX Aluminum Channel Kits, the Worm Gear Boxes, and the TETRIX Servos, our students can create advanced subsystems to accomplish a variety of tasks within the FTC Relic Recovery challenge. The Powerpole Crimpers, Dupont Crimpers, and Dupont Connectors will allow our students to incorporate several sensors requiring high level programming to autonomously interact with the play field.
