My Students

My kiddos are sweet, eager learners! They are genuinely nice children-always looking out for one another and offering to help anyone who needs it! They deserve to be challenged to gain an even deeper understanding of the standards.

The students in my class are thriving with challenge work-they are eager and always wanting to dig deeper!

I want to be able to provide them with a flexible work environment, as well as challenging, engaging material to meet each of their needs.

My Project

My students' reading comprehension will soar with challenging, yet engaging literature circle books. My class loves to take their learning into their own hands. The lap desks are the perfect addition to our classroom for those who love to explore their own learning in a flexible environment. Our literature circles have shown to be extremely effective in improving reading comprehension. Students read an assigned part of the book, then are responsible for a new “job” each week. When we meet as a literature circle group, students present their assigned job’s work for the week and we discuss the assigned reading in detail.

My students have been given clear expectations of what they need in order to be successful—once they know what is expected, they love to work in their own areas of the room to complete their challenges.

They thrive on doing their personal best. I'm so proud of the work they have done thus far, and I know they can soar even higher with the right materials!
