My Project

Children need to move. The students in my school are no different. I work with all of the students in a suburban school with students coming from single parent or two parent working homes. Since the COVID-19 pandemic my students have struggled to maintain the focus and endurance to be successful in the classroom.

I am requesting floor seats and balance ball seats.

Using flexible seating options allows me to help students move while learning. These different types of seats are just a small way to help every student be successful. Providing flexible seating allows me to accommodate all of my amazing students' needs.

Each one of my students deserves every chance to be their best and flexible seating is one small way I can help them be their best. Providing them with different options for seating allows them to focus on their learning and provide safe ways for them to manage the need to move in the classroom.

As we move into another year of trying help these students grow and overcome the gaps from the COVID-19 pandemic, I hope these different seating options give them some choice and control to be active members of their learning So many of our students struggle to sit still during the day and these flexible seats have allowed them some movement in the classroom.
