My Students
My students have tables to work at and share much of their basic classroom supplies. This is great for most of our collaboration and group work. However, students also have individual work and personal items that they need to keep track of.
We are a small pre-K to 5 school in a rural town.
We have only 2 classes per grade which helps us to build a tight school community. Our students are a creative and curious bunch that love to be in school and learn. Winters are long and all of the winter gear takes up more of the students' storage space than there is actually available and gear often spreads into the classroom area.
My Project
With chair sacks, students will all have a place to keep their writing and other personal belongings. This will help keep our classroom cleaner, allow for students to easily access their work, and minimize transitions. The boys and girls will have their work related items at their seat instead of stored in groups and needed to be passed out all of the time.
There is so much content and so many skills to be teaching students today and organization should be one of them.
These chair sacks will help students be organized, minimize transition times for more learning and help keep our classroom stay cleaner.
