This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! This past year we were unable to do something that is essential in a kindergarten classroom, share a space on a carpet for whole group learning. Instead of lessons on the carpet they were spent with each student at their own individual desks. My students are hands-on, active, and love to take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
My Project
This year in my classroom students will be able to used shared materials. These supplies will be used daily for students to engage with each other in center time.
The use of playdoh in the classroom is not only great for free choice times but also for teaching concepts such as blending sounds and words.
The organizational baskets will be placed on the tables to hold all students materials during choice times. The dice will be used for students to collaborate in math games. The dry erase board markers will ensure each of my student has their own eraser when using their marker boards in the classroom.
