Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten class consists of 17 amazing students. My students are learning to read, write, and count. They love to learn through play and enjoy making connections to their peers both in the classroom and outside on the playground. Center time is especially fun because they have the opportunity to learn new things through play.

Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students deserve to be immersed in authentic learning experiences that challenge them on their level.

My class has a wide range of learning styles and the needs of many will be met with these new center materials.

My Project

These material will allow my students the opportunity to grow their academic independence during center time! I will be able to organize the materials in such a way that my students will be able to access these learning tools and reinforce what I have taught in a fun way.

My students will be able to focus on the task in front of them because it will be engaging and on their own level.

This guided practice will give them the opportunity they need to feel confident and successful.

So much of preparing centers in kindergarten is having everything carefully laid out and planned. Many of the materials I have asked for will allow me to organize center time so that I can quickly and efficiently transition the class from one center to another. The storage containers will house each center for each child, making for a very Covid safe environment.
