My Project

My students are curious, thoughtful, and eager to learn about the world around them. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom discussions. They love reading and discovering stories that reflect different cultures, experiences, and voices. As we prepare for Women's History Month, I want to provide them with books that highlight the incredible contributions of women throughout history.

Every child deserves to see themselves in the stories they read, I am requesting a selection of books that celebrate the achievements of women from all walks of life—scientists, artists, activists, athletes, and leaders.

These books will serve as both mirrors and windows for my students, allowing them to see themselves reflected in powerful role models while also learning about trailblazers who have shaped our world. With these resources, we will engage in read-alouds, discussions, and activities that encourage critical thinking and inspire a love of learning.

Representation matters. By expanding our classroom library with books that highlight women's contributions, I hope to empower my students to dream big, challenge stereotypes, and see themselves as future changemakers. These stories will spark conversations about perseverance, equality, and the power of believing in oneself.
