My Project

These materials will provide students with a hands-on approach to celebrate and learn about women’s history by connecting personal reflection with historical exploration. By using the stationery to write letters to their future selves, students will reflect on the values and accomplishments of women throughout history, while considering how they can carry forward these legacies in their own lives. The act of writing these letters allows students to create a personal connection to the broader narrative of women’s empowerment, helping them internalize the lessons learned from past female trailblazers. Students create painting using the canvases and brushes while studying female artists. As they engage with these materials, they are encouraged to think critically about how gender equality has evolved and how they, as future change-makers, can continue to make an impact.

The materials for making invitations for an intergenerational tea party will help students connect with women across different generations, facilitating meaningful conversations about women’s history and progress.

Attending the tea party and hearing from an empowerment speaker will provide an immersive learning experience, giving students a direct opportunity to hear from women who have contributed to social change. This interaction can inspire students to see themselves as part of a larger, ongoing movement for gender equity. Additionally, learning about key female changemakers at the event will give students historical context and the tools to appreciate the roles women have played—and continue to play—in shaping society. Together, these activities will foster both personal growth and a deeper understanding of women’s contributions throughout history.
