My Project

To help give the children an understanding of the richness of their heritage.

We are more than slavery; our history started before it and continues after it.

To sit and read a story about the past and what makes our culture unique and special. To discuss and do an activity that will bring the book to life for them. My students want to know and understand their community and the world around them. Giving them the proper education and allowing them to understand the people who built their foundation is the responsibilities of the teacher and parents who take the time to volunteer and promote growth.
