My Students

I currently support K-5 grade scholars and teachers in the Miami, Florida area. My students live in a difficult neighborhood of extreme poverty. These students are bright, intuitive, and have the drive to succeed no matter their circumstances. They work super hard and are eager to explore, discover and learn. My students attend one of the lowest-achieving schools with little access to resources and experiences.

My students face unimaginable obstacles inside and outside of the classroom.

A majority of my students are at least a grade level behind where they should be, but that doesn't affect their determination to succeed. My students have a growth mindset, and they continue to amaze me with their perseverance and persistence. They will succeed. They will achieve.

The sky is the limit at my elementary school!

My Project

As we approach testing, I want to reward students for their hard work in preparing for state testing! This time of the school year can become stressful for students, so it’s important to keep them motivated! We also need ink for our printer To produce quality resources for student to participate and complete necessary assignments! The iPad is also an incentive we want to begin to use in small group! The iPad can access many digital resources and apps our school computers cannot! We hope to start using an iPad to fine tune these necessary reading skills!

These prizes will help motivate, engage, and support student learning during our most crucial time of the school year!

Students participate in different activities, review games, and mock assessments that we would love to reward daily for their hard work and dedication to reading! My students look forward to the treasure box daily and we are in need of our yearly re-stock!

All materials support student learning and growth in literacy! We are so grateful for your generosity!
