Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator committed to fostering a love for reading and writing, I am excited to launch the "Celebrating Progress" project to reward my students for their hard work and dedication in achieving their literacy goals! Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and face unique challenges on their educational journeys. By recognizing their growth in reading and writing, I aim to cultivate an environment where accomplishments are celebrated, and motivation flourishes.

This project will provide:

Celebratory Snacks: Delicious and healthy snacks to enjoy while we celebrate our reading and writing achievements. Sharing treats will create a sense of community and accomplishment, helping students bond as they recognize each other’s successes.

Mechanical and Scented Pencils: Fun and functional supplies, like mechanical pencils and scented pencils, will enhance the writing experience. These unique tools will excite students about their writing tasks and encourage them to express their creativity.

Therapy Putty: For students who benefit from sensory and fidget support, therapy putty will be available to help with focus and self-regulation during our focused learning times. This resource will create a calming outlet for students who may need additional sensory input while they engage in reading and writing activities.

By implementing this project, I hope to reinforce the importance of hard work and personal growth, making our classroom a vibrant space of celebration and support. Together, we can ensure that every student feels recognized and motivated as they develop their literacy skills. Thank you for your consideration in helping us create a fulfilling and enriching experience for our young learners!
