Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My incredible fifth-graders are about to spread their wings and take flight to middle school! This is a HUGE milestone—going from the leaders of our small campus to the newest members of a much bigger world.

To celebrate their journey, I want to give them the chance to create something special: their very own custom-designed tumbler!

Each student will design a unique cup that reflects their time as a kestrel and their excitement for the adventures ahead.

But this isn’t just any project—it’s an interactive, hands-on experience! My students will dive into the world of sublimation design, learning how to create digital artwork, print their designs, and transfer them onto their own one-of-a-kind keepsakes using a special ink process. Watching their artwork come to life on a tumbler is pure magic—and they’ll get to take home a lasting memory of their time in elementary school.

I can’t wait to guide my students through this creative journey and send them off to middle school with a gift that will keep their memories (and their drinks!) cool for years to come. 💙✨
