Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking donations for a 3D printer, which would significantly impact my students' learning by allowing them to engage in hands-on projects that incorporate measurements, shapes, scale factors and dimensions. Specifically, we plan to have students create snakes to represent the Year of the Snake, for the upcoming Lunar New Year, which we will proudly display around the school. This project aligns perfectly with our school's initiative to celebrate the diverse cultures represented in my student body.

My primary goal for this project is to introduce students to new technology while fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills through math.

The incorporation of a 3D printer will not only make learning more interactive but also provide them with a unique experience that many have never encountered before.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm for learning and their diverse backgrounds, which bring a wealth of perspectives to our classroom. I believe that this project will not only enrich their understanding of math but also empower them to explore their cultural identities through their creations.
