Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My children are all inquisitive and bright. They are eager to learn, however they are rarely represented in books. These children need windows to learn about different cultures and mirrors to learn about themselves. Although they come from such diverse backgrounds, we do not have enough books to reflect these cultures and backgrounds. Our classroom community would be so much better with these books. The children will see themselves through the author's eyes. They will see their cultures represented in a positive and meaningful way. They will see a different view of the world.
