Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to have the opportunity to teach my students about the history and traditions of various cultures. I enjoy teaching my students about diversity and this would be a great opportunity to read about and participate in hands-on activities for the students to explore and learn about different art media.

Appreciating other cultures leads to a greater appreciation for the amazing diversity found throughout our community.

My students will be provided with different hands-on activities and be exposed to different books that teach them about different cultures. Students will enjoy learning about diversity in cultures. These experiences will boost critical thinking, teaching students to take the time to be more careful and thorough in how they observe the world.

Art also connects students with their own culture as well as with the wider world, in this case, students will learn about diversity and cultures. With this project, my students will broaden their understanding and appreciation of art. Students will use donation markers, paints, and paper to research and illustrate their findings about the different cultures.
