My Project

Fortune cookies, Chinese candies, red envelopes, and books about Chinese New Year will immerse my kindergarteners in the rich traditions of this celebration. These items bring abstract concepts like cultural heritage and diversity to life in tangible ways. By reading about Lunar New Year, they’ll learn about its customs and significance, fostering appreciation for other cultures. Fortune cookies and candies create a sensory connection, while red envelopes allow them to experience a key tradition symbolizing good luck and generosity.

My goal is to create hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and respect for diversity, making this project a joyful and memorable learning opportunity.
