This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As Black History Month is quickly approaching, I want my students to celebrate themselves. African Americans have a rich history and our students need to know about it! Each student will receive a book and bookmark wrapped in a special bag as a gift for Black History Month.
It is important for my students to see characters that look like them and have had similar experiences.
The books will last much longer than the month of February. By allowing students to have a piece of history, they can celebrate Black History Month and be inspired all year long!
