Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we are excited to embark on a unique hands-on project that will blend art, history, and cultural learning. We aim to allow our students to explore indigenous pottery traditions by using clay to recreate pottery pieces.

Through this project, students will learn about the rich history and cultural significance of indigenous pottery, from its origins to its symbolism.

They will also develop their artistic skills by shaping and decorating clay with tools inspired by traditional methods.

To bring this project to life, we need supplies like air-dry clay, carving tools, and a few other items to support our hands-on experience. This project also fosters creativity, critical thinking, and respect for cultural heritage.
