Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students LOVE comic books! They enjoy reading fantastic stories, listening to the action-packed adventures of modern-day heroes, and following along with the images and beautiful pictures within the pages of graphic novels.

My students get so excited about gripping stories with out-of-this-world characters that embody great powers and yet struggle with everyday challenges while saving the world.

It's also very important to me that all of the various cultures within my classroom are represented in our reading. That is why adding comic books and graphic novels that they will read and represent Hispanic culture is currently a classroom need: it will reignite their desire to sit down with a comic book and absorb as much as they can within our reading block when they return from summer break.
