Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving children. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their community.

Many of my students don't have many resources that they can use at home during remote learning.

Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.

My Project

Each spring my students look forward to watching caterpillars transform into butterflies before their eyes!

I would love to still give my students the opportunity to participate in these lessons/experiences from home.

I will gladly have the kit at my home and connect daily with my students via live video so they all have the opportunity to participate in this experience and learn more about the life cycle of caterpillars. I know that this opportunity would bring a lot of smiles and happiness to my wonderful bunch of first graders!

The TPT gift card will be used to purchase activities that align with our lessons on the life cycle of caterpillars. (observation books, life cycle worksheets, etc.)
