My Students

Making a difference! My bilingual students want to catch up and be active members of the society by enhancing their reading comprehension skills.

My 18 fifth graders are enthusiastic and energetic when it comes down to learning.

They are aware of the skills that are needed to serve and be active members of today's society. They attend a Title One school with a high percent of economically disadvantage families. Such a factor influence the way they learn and their expectations in life. Yet, they do not give up and want a better lifestyle.

My Project

Reading is fun! The centers and comprehension activities that come with them will engage them and captivate their attention. Learning can be fun through these centers and instructional games! When will they be able to play? I run my stations everyday for about 30 minutes. Students participate actively, yet I need more materials that develop their reading skills and higher order thinking skills.

Reading well and effectively will have an impact on my students' lives!

By enhancing their reading comprehension skills, my enthusiastic fifth graders will serve today's and tomorrow's society!
