it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items requested, such as new softballs, catcher’s gear, and practice equipment, will directly enhance my students' ability to practice their skills safely and effectively. With the proper gear, students will gain confidence in their ability to participate in all aspects of the game, from batting to fielding and, in particular, catching. This will lead to more consistent practice, improved techniques, and a deeper understanding of the game.
The goal of this project is to provide students with the necessary equipment to participate in practices and games at a competitive level.
By improving their access to quality gear, I aim to boost their overall performance, foster teamwork, and create a sense of pride in their ability to play. Additionally, I hope this project will allow students to build leadership skills and confidence that they can carry over into other areas of their lives.
My students are a diverse and determined group who come to practice with enthusiasm and a willingness to improve every day. They represent various backgrounds, but they all share a passion for the sport and an eagerness to work together as a team. Many of my students face challenges outside the field, but through softball, they have found a supportive community where they can grow, build confidence, and demonstrate resilience. Their drive and team spirit sets them apart, and they deserve the tools that will help them excel.
