Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach young adults ages 18 to 22 with special needs in a public school. Our Successful Transition Education Program for Students (STEPS) aims to develop employment and independent living skills.

The cash register will be useful in our students gaining skills in counting money, giving change, keying in items, sorting bills and coins and developing basic customer service skills.

These skills will be useful in gaining competitive employment in the retail industry as well as in independent skills when making personal purchases. Your help will help our students reach their personal and employment potential.
