Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These portfolios will be used by my advanced art students to keep their artwork safe, as well as the ability to take their work home safely without folding or rolling up drawings, which can have adverse effects on their craftsmanship (like tears or creases). My students are amazingly creative and hard-working, with a desire to progress and move forward in their artistic endeavors, so treating their artwork as valuable sends an important message for them and their community.

Having a personal portfolio is crucial for middle school art students.

Firstly, it fosters a sense of ownership and pride in their creative work, boosting their confidence and motivation to excel. Secondly, a portfolio allows students to track their artistic progress over time, identifying areas of improvement and setting goals for growth. Additionally, it aids in showcasing their talents to peers, teachers, and potential magnet art high schools, enhancing their chances of recognition and advancement!
