My Students

My school community is very diverse. We have students on the autism spectrum, as well as students with other learning disabilities. We have students from low-income housing areas. Some students are identified as gifted and talented. The students at my school are growing up and learning in a community of learners from many different backgrounds. This offers the children amazing opportunities to learn.

I want my kids to feel prepared for school, whatever the fall should bring.

Whether I get to teach my kids in our classroom, or if we continue learning through digital platforms, I am confident that each of them will learn a great deal during this upcoming school year. We will incorporate project based learning and kids will need materials at home and in school.

My Project

At this time, it is still unclear whether or not schools will be able to open in the fall. Due to this uncertainty, I am planning ahead so that my students will have what they need whether they will be learning in the classroom with me or from home. Students will have their own pencil cases, filled with pencils, scissors, a glue stick, as well as receive a variety of paper to use throughout the school year.

With these materials, my students will be able to feel prepared and confident as we begin our learning together.

The kids will be able to write fiction stories using the paper and design the setting using the construction paper, glue, and model magic. Kids will be able to utilize the dry erase boards and markers during daily lessons to show their work and explain their thinking. Kids will be able to use these materials both in school and at home.
