This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to collaborate and share their ideas with each other. The best place to do this is all together in a central meeting place, the rug! By getting up to shift from sitting in a desk to sitting together in a circle or rows on the rug, everyone gets to see each other, move their bodies, and share their ideas with someone different in the class. These students amazingly high energy and are driven by sharing with each other. The perfect place to release this energy and collaborate is on a beautiful rug!
