My Project

My students are an extraordinary group of kids. They come to school each day ready and eager to learn whether they are remote or in person. For many of them, school is not just a place to learn, but it also is what many of them would consider a place that feels like home. With all that has been going on in the world, they continue to work hard and give it all they have!

My students are resilient, resourceful, and passionate when it comes to learning.

They are eager to learn and want to be the best version of themselves. All of them have goals of one day going to college, and most importantly, having strong careers! They don't allow the outside influences of their environment to affect their learning and eagerness to learn. Most of all, they care about school and come each day eager and willing!

This carpet will add to the overall environment of my classroom. It will allow each student to feel comfortable in their own personalized space. It will allow students to have a structured way of coming to and from the carpet which students in 2nd and 3rd grade benefit from. This carpet will most importantly, allow for a meeting area that the whole class can be a part of at the beginning and end of each day. The students will be able to use the smiley faces on the carpet to learn how to turn and talk to each other and allow them a nice comfortable reading and working space when they want to work somewhere besides their desk or table!
