This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a public school teacher serving children form low income families and some of them come from shelters around the school and we are also title 1 school. Students in Pre- K play in different centers and develop social emotional skills. Some of them live in temporary housing near the school and until they get permanent placement. They live in a neighborhood that doesn't provide them all amenities . Some of them come from single family home and emotionally disturbed.

My Project

My Pre- K students come from near by projects and from temporary housings. They also suffer from asthma and with chronic cold symptoms. I want to provide a safe and healthy classroom environment. At present, I am unable to provide them with a carpet for their block center where most of the students love to play.They are sitting on the floor while playing at the block center.Our school is a title 1 school. This year we do not have enough funding to provide some of the items we need for our students. Please help us by sending this beautiful carpet to my students.
