My Project

I work in a Pre K-8 school. Our school serves children from diverse backgrounds. My students are smart, and brave. They encounter more challenges due to poverty and exposure to community violence. As a School Social worker I provide individual and group counseling. I strive to give them an environment that delights, offers comfort and a place for them to decompress. I’m seeking a cozy sofa and carpet to provide a comfortable safe space for them. This room supports their emotional well being, so they are available to learn. I will also provide social emotional learning lessons through gentle movement, and art for students in this space.
