Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work as a 3rd grade teacher. I serve about 45 students. We can go through 50-75 snacks each day. Some students will come through and ask for snacks if they know they don't have extra at home.This student-centered care closet will allow our students to come and receive snacks, and storage supplies for the classroom to story and carry their books on a daily basis.
Please help me create and stock this closet so students can focus on their learning and not worry about basic supply needs within the classroom.
In my classroom, I would like to continue to add a Care Closet full of snacks for students when they need a little something to fill their tummies when they are hungry or feeling a little anxious. Sometimes they need a little break so being able to sit in the calming corner with their books.
We will continue to build our supply for the students throughout the year.
