This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In our classroom, access to pads, tampons, and soap is not just about basic hygiene; it's about supporting the dignity, comfort, and inclusivity of every student.

Providing these essential products ensures that all students, regardless of their economic circumstances or gender, can manage their menstrual hygiene needs with confidence and ease.

Access to pads and tampons promotes health by preventing discomfort and potential health risks associated with inadequate hygiene practices.

It also supports students' focus and participation in learning activities by removing the worry and distraction that can arise from not having these necessary items. Additionally, soap ensures that students can maintain overall cleanliness, promoting good health practices and reducing the spread of germs. By making pads, tampons, and soap readily available in our classroom, we demonstrate our commitment to creating a supportive and equitable environment where every student can thrive without the barrier of inadequate hygiene resources.
