This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Advanced Placement World History exam is currently scheduled to be a full exam on Thursday, May 8, 2025. It is an incredibly extensive test that covers almost 800 years of global history and includes four sections consisting of 60 multiple choice questions, three short answers, and two essays. It requires students to read and analyze documents and utilize different skills such as contextualization, cause and effect, comparison, and change over time. It can be an incredibly intimidating task.

This is the fifth year AP World History Modern is being taught at our school and it is also the first time the ninth graders in this course are exposed to the demands of an Advanced Placement course.

In order to motivate my students on the day of the test, I am requesting items to create small care packages for each student. These care packages will include a water bottle, a snack, hard candy, pens, pencils, erasers, and a pencil sharpener. I also plan on including a fidget, and a motivational note for each student. I hope this care package will help my students feel a little less test anxiety and inspire them to do well on the day of the exam.
