Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is a very special project created to teach my students the importance of giving back to the community. Thanks to this amazing opportunity from the ALLSTATE foundation, we will be able make care packages filled with essentials needed to stay warm, clean, and cozy this winter. Student learning outcomes from this experience will be to learn about the importance of giving back to the community through charity work as well as how things we might take for granted can really make a difference in the life of someone in need.

My students learning outcomes relate to the fundraiser as well by showing them how simple every day items that we might take for granted, can really make a difference in the life of someone in need.

Students will also learn to work together in a timely and organized fashion to assemble these packages.

The water bottles, hats, gloves, feminine care products, beverages and snacks will all be included within the packages we will make, as well as a few other items that students believe are essential to aid in winter care.

The proceeds from this project will be used to benefit those in need of a care package.
