My Project

The supplies that I am requesting for my students are things that can change everything for them. When you’re hungry or you don’t feel clean, it can affect your educational growth. Having access to things like food, and personal care items not only builds confidence in every individual, but it can show them that being in a classroom, means that they are safe and taken care of. We teach about social, emotional understanding and part of that is being able to express when they are hungry or when they need things to be clean. We teach them to acknowledge their basic human needs. This is especially true for children with disabilities.

The donations to this project would allow my students to reduce their food insecurities and increase their understanding of body care.

In return my students will be able to focus more on the educational growth and not on if they have enough food in their bellies.
