Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will practice mindful activities and support with regulating emotions, stress and anxiety. These items will promote and support Social Emotional learning.

Students know to go to my office when they need a mental break or when they need a snack.

A lot of our students deal with anxiety and go to my office for support. Having these material can give them coping skills that can be used when not at school.

Snacks are a crucial component to my support. At times they don’t have breakfast or lunch so they go to the care center for a snack to hold them off till they get home. With this I’m able to check in with students, have conversations and build that bond.
