Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our school is located in a low-income/poverty area of Las Vegas. We offer several different free after-school programs: dance, cheer, sports, tutoring, and Garden Club. Most teachers are volunteers. Many students at this school live in multi-family apartments. All students at this school qualify for free lunch. Many students at this school receive clothing assistance. Many students have Three Square Meals sent home on the weekend. We have a great staff at this school; everyone is trying to help all of these students with their living situations and enable them to become successful.
My Project
We have many projects in mind for 3D printing at our school. We will use 3D printing in all grades K-5.
Students will create 3D models in science, math, art, and social studies.
Students will create projects using software or paper designs. Students will create their projects on the 3D printer.
They can create a math, science, art or social studies project.
Some of those models will include geometrical figures. Students will not be limited to exploring geometrical figures by seeing pictures. They can create the figures on software, watch their creation print into 3D form, and explore the finished product.
Students will create 3D maps of realistic or fictional worlds. These models can al landforms, water or other details to help understand maps.
Students will create different aspects of physical science according to grades and standards. Some of those models can be bugs and parts of bugs.
The ideas are endless in what an educator and student can create with a 3D printer. We are excited to explore and find-out what our school can create.
