My Project

This year, we started a greeting card "company" for students. The students are learning to use die cut machines, stamps, stamp platforms, and more to make greeting cards for different occasions.

While this "business" provides job skills for the students, it also supports their mental health.

There are many different jobs to meet the various student interests. Students can choose to die cut, stamp, cut, emboss, design and/or embellish cards. Creating the cards is calming. Students enjoy the peacefulness of the activity and feel good about being successful in their creative endeavors. Students also learn vital communication and teamwork skills as well as social emotional skills when things don't turn out as planned.
