Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our elementary school is full of bright, eager learners who love to celebrate their school community. As a Title I school, many of our students face challenges, but they thrive when given the opportunity to engage and take ownership of their learning environment. Our Student Council members are passionate leaders who want to highlight the amazing moments happening every day in our classrooms, hallways, and special events.

We are requesting two digital cameras to empower our Student Council to document the learning and excitement at our school.

These cameras will allow students to capture classroom activities, schoolwide celebrations, and special projects, fostering a sense of pride and engagement. By taking on the role of school photographers, students will develop leadership skills, responsibility, and creativity.

The photos taken will be used for newsletters, bulletin boards, and presentations, helping to showcase the incredible work happening in our school community. This project will give students a voice, a sense of ownership, and an opportunity to practice real-world skills in photography and storytelling. With your support, our Student Council will have the tools they need to document and share the story of our school, making every student feel seen, valued, and celebrated. These cameras will not only capture memories but also foster a culture of student leadership and school spirit.
