Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most thoughtful and energetic kids that I have ever met. I am honored to have the opportunity to pioneer the counseling program at CCES. These items are being requested for use in my counseling office.

My students need tools and gadgets that promote self-regulation and awareness by providing students with ways to explore feelings/emotions.

This means they will focus on improving and taking care of their social-emotional health so they can be the best students and kids they can be! These items will help students calm down when they are frustrated, scared, mad, or sad; this way they can calm down and go back to class to be able to focus and learn effectively.

I have included drawing tools, building blocks, puzzles, fidget toys, books, and social-emotional games. Emotional intelligence enables students to have positive interactions with others, anticipate their feelings, and experience appropriate levels of empathy. Building a student's emotional intelligence can help them learn, achieve, and succeed at school. These tools will be used throughout our entire school by grades PK-5 to help teach them the very important skill of regulating their emotions!
