My Students

Do you remember how excited you were when you were "Student of the Week" or made the Honor Roll? Can you recall how accomplished you felt when you completed a school project? My kindergarten students have experienced these achievements, but unfortunately we do not have a means to capture such events.

My kindergarten students inspire me everyday, and I am invigorated with the promise and excitement they show day in and day out.

I have 24 English Language Learners who attend a low-income school in South Los Angeles. My students come to class ready to learn, regardless of any obstacles they face inside and outside of the classroom.

My Project

I am requesting a digital camera to capture those special moments and achievements. I would like to catalog those moments to show my students their progress throughout the year and have them take those images on their journey to first grade and beyond. The camera case will provide a safe home for the camera when it is not in use.

Please help me achieve my goal of obtaining a camera for my classroom.

The request will help me capture some of the moments of my wonderful students. A picture on our bulletin board will assist my students in a multitude of ways. It will teach them word association by being able to put a name to a face, especially during those first days of school. Thank you!
