This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome Back! As I start a new school year with new young scholars, I need your help to inspire my students to bring out their creativeness in their work and to reward them for doing so! Students in this ICT (integrated co-taught classroom a mix of general education/special education students) live in a low income area in Queens, NY. In this Spanish speaking community it is hard for parents to purchase basic school supplies that are used during the year and it is even harder to pay for them myself. By supporting my classroom you would be giving my students an amazing opportunity to write, create, color, build and explore. On top of that, with 30 students it is even harder to pay for incentives and rewards throughout the school year. By supporting our classroom, these students will be able to explore, write in their new journals, and use fidget toys to refocus them throughout the day!
