My Project

All of our students use their cell phones to take selfies and other pictures. The Yearbook elective class is a group of 25-30 students who are passionate about capturing memorable moments of school events. Unfortunately, yearbook class's 2 cameras were recently stolen, therefore we are in need of at least one.

In class, the camera will provide the opportunity for the yearbook kids to learn how to use a DSLR camera and learn creative photographic composition.

Learning photography will give them confidence to be actively involved in the creation of their yearbook, as well as give them the self-esteem they need. The camera will be a great tool for the kids--they will be comfortable using a digital camera and able to capture memories and events of their school year. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build relationships and practice socialization This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but on campus as well.
