My Students

Making memories is what childhood is all about... When you think back to your childhood, or look at pictures from when you were growing up, were any of the memories or photos taken in a classroom? Or on a field trip? Or doing a special activity? Why not give that to my class?

My students are underprivileged and don't get a lot of the experiences most other kids get.

I am hoping that by capturing moments in the classroom, my students will save these photos and use them to remember some of the great times they had LEARNING!! A majority of my class has not been to the beach, an amusement park, or even out of the city for that matter. I'd like to give them some great memories despite their hardships!

My Project

I am requesting a digital camera so that I can take spontaneous pictures and upload them onto my computer. I plan to use the pictures in my classroom and then send them home with my students to keep. I would also like to get enough pictures of my students to eventually put together a slideshow presentation that will play during Open House.

Please help me to capture some great memories with my students and let them always be reminded of the excitement and love of learning that they had in first grade.
