Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The document camera will enhance student learning. It will help my 29 ELLs by having visuals where they can all see and understand the concepts being taught. They love to explore books and new concepts with the camera. The current document camera is extremely blurry and it is difficult for the students to get an accurate picture of the concepts.

The new camera will definitely enhance and support all 29 students learning English as a new language.

This item will be extremely beneficial for all students during phonics and reading. All students will be able to see and follow how to decode and stretch out words during reading and writing workshop.

The folders will help students organize their work. The seat sacks will help students organize their items for easy access, especially for Fundations where they will work with their boards and other materials.

A listening center will help support ELLs with reading as well as following the story with their classmates. It is another way designed to support all learners - especially those students that need more support.

I love that my students have a yearning for learning. They are extremely excited to learn English and other subjects as well. They are capable of so much! They just need some extra support to help them learn.
