Our school is in a rural area that depends on agriculture. We are a consolidated district serving students from five small communities. Our school isn't in a town--it's in the middle of pasture land and fields, so all of our students ride the bus or drive to school.
Our rural school has over 50% of students receiving free and reduced-priced meals.
I am continually looking for ways to engage the students in creative and relevant activities, and part of that is making sure they are comfortable in my classroom.
My Project
My students are learning about photography in journalism class. We are fortunate to have three quality DSLR cameras to use, but we need some additional accessories to help us stay organized and take our best pictures. These accessories will greatly enhance the hands-on experiences of my students.
My students capture classroom and activity photos to tell the story of the school year in the yearbook and on social media.
These accessories will help my students produce an amazing yearbook and school social media presence that records our memories for the future. We will be better equipped to showcase the amazing works and talents of our students.
