Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging lessons and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to learn new concepts and practice others! They come to school each day ready to try new challenges in order to grow both personally and academically.

The students in our urban district inspire us to treat each day as a gift and to live in the present moments.

They represent a very diverse population, many of whom speak English as a second or third language. Breakfast and lunch are provided free to all students every day. The students are an incredible group of young people who are working hard to make a positive difference not only in their own futures but the future of our community as well. They are going to do amazing things!

My Project

Students learn best when they feel welcome and have a sense of belonging in a space. They use the resources displayed around the rooms to help them achieve their personal best. Whether the walls have positive affirmations, inspirational quotes and sayings, or content specific anchor charts, a print rich room will invite the students in to a setting that they know will be successful.

By donating to our class project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will ultimately be helping to increase their academic achievement.

The past year and a half have been unprecedented school years. The students have social and emotional as well as academic needs that will be at the very front of our school year this year. I'd like to be able to welcome the students into in person learning in style and be able to change out the SEL board monthly adding character in a visually appealing and efficient manner.
